Mask-building Workshops

Masks of ritual dances, masks of the Comedia Del'Arte or today's carnival mask: the mask fascinates people across time and places. It allows you to play with your own identity and transform your own appearance.

 

The participants use clay, old newspaper, wheat paste and recycling techniques to create a self-made mask.

 

In this process, we will deal with facial expressions and physiognomy: how to recognize the amazement? which wrinkles give the impression of tiredness or cheerfulness? What makes a good cartoon?

 

Participants like to bring their own elements and integrate them into the mask. A little patience and the joy of manual work are the only requirements for this workshop.
